Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, the Alaafin of Oyo has landed in Abuja with his wife to witness his son, Prince Akeem Adeyemi’s inauguration as a federal lawmaker in Abuja on Tuesday.
The septuagenarian on Monday announced his arrival in Abuja with his wives for the inaugural ceremony on his facebook account where he also posted pictures of their arrival.
The post: “Oba Adeyemi III, The Alaafin of Oyo will be joining all Nigerians and the good people of Oyo State and Oyo town to witness the Inauguration of the National Assembly of which a.k.a Skimeh Obasegun is one of the Federal Honourables to be inaugurated as the Representative of the four local governments in Oyo Metropolis and Sen. Monsurat Sunmonu the Senator Representing Oyo Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly both are indigenes of Oyo and they represent the four local governments in Oyo Metropolis.”
Sources at Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport told our correspondent that the Alaafin’s arrival with his harem caused a stir at the airport as people gathered discussing them in hush tones.
