Hamidu Ali Not Appointed Chief of Staff to President Buhari -Adesina

An uncomfortable report doing round indicated that Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari appointed Colonel Hammed Ali ( now known as  Hamidu Ali ) as his Chief of Staff on Monday.

This appointment story according to NUJ Europe investigation, has been denied by the Media  Spokesman for President, Mr Femi Adesina.
Colonel Hammed Ali (pictured) was Military Administrator of Kaduna State during the military regime of Sani Abacha from August 1996 – August 1998.
As Governor, in October 1997 Hammed Ali allegedly sacked about 30,000 striking civil servants in Kaduna State, and detained 18 Local Government Chairmen.
The story was published in Tempo Magazine and titled “Goodbye Justice”. The story was later discredited and proven to be false. The status of the former military administrator of Kaduna State was also immediately updated by Wikipedia, where it was stated at the time of this report that “he is currently the Chief of Staff to president Muhammadu Buhari”.
Buhari has also named other officers such as protocol official: Lawal Kazaure (State Chief of Protocol), Ahmed Idris (Accountant General of the Federation) and two media aides: Femi Adesina (Special Adviser, Media and Publicity) and Garba Shehu (Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity)
Buhari is yet to make any other key appointment such as ministers.
