Two days after close to 50 students were killed by a suicide bomber on the assembly ground at the Government Secondary School of Science in Potiskum, Yobe State, and less than 24 hours after President Jonathan declared his intention to run for a second term in office, another school has recorded a bomb explosion.
An explosion on Wednesday rocked a place near the library at the Federal College of Education, Kotangora, Niger State, killing and wounding students of the institution.
The Boko Haram sect has intensified attacks on Nigerian towns in the last few weeks. The military is still trying to dislodge the terrorist sect from Mubi, Adamawa State while the insurgents are bent on expanding the territory under their control.
Casualties figure yet ascertained as at the time of filling this report.
