Count me out of your ordeals, Arisekola tells Saraki

WEEKEND GIST:

The publisher of  The Street Journal, Wole Arisekols, has told the Nigeriian Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, to count him out of his trivails and face his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
Some of the lawmakers loyal to Saraki had accused Arisekola of being used by the Presidency to destabilize the National Assembly.
Feelers from the camp of the embattled lawmaker Tuesday indicated that Arisekola is one of those allegedly being used by he Presidency and those against Saraki to unseat him as the Number three citizen in the land.

This followed a candid advice the online publisher gave Saraki to resign honourably as Senate President in order to protect his integrity and that of the Senate.
However, in a reaction to the allegation, Arisekola, who is also the Chairman, Association of Online Media Practitioners, urged the lawmakers to count him out of the travails of the Senate President, insisting that he is not working for anybody whosoever and only advised Saraki as a concerned Nigerian.
Saraki is currently facing a 13-count charge bordering on False Asset Declaration and other corruption related allegations before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), and Arisekola has been one of those calling for his resignation.
“I have no hand in his trial. Their accusation is baseless. I think they are making this allegation because I recently called for his resignation over his trial before the CCT. I have no regret over my stand, and I make bold to say it is my personal stand. I am not being used by President Buhari or any other person or group”, he disclosed.
It would be recalled that anti-Saraki campaigns have been intensified in various corners, including the National Assembly since the publisher made the call for Saraki’s resignation over the weekend.
