Bayo Onanuga, chief executive officer of TheNews Magazine, has been appointed the Director General of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
He is among others named Wednesday by Minister of Information, Tourism and Culture, Lai Mohammed for the information-related parastatals under the Ministry of Information and Culture.
The appointments as announced by the Minister are as follows: Ishaq Modibo Kawu, Director-General, Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Mansur Liman, Director-General, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).
Others include Yakubu Mohammed, Director-General, Nigerian Television Authority (NTA); Dr. Garba Abari, Director-General, National Orientation Agency (NOA) and Osita Okechukwu, Director-General, Voice of Nigeria (VON).
The appointments are with immediate effect,.
They will fill the positions left unoccupied following the sacking of the previous heads of the agencies on February 15, 2016
