His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II will be awarded with “PEACE AMBASSADOR” Award by White House Faith Based Initiatives at the White House in Washington during his US official trip in June 2016.

Oba (Dr.) Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, will visit selected cities within the United States from June 8-30, 2016.

The tour is an initiative designed to advance relationships between the citizens of Yoruba land and the USA. The mission is to attract foreign investors for economic development in Yoruba regions and environments.

Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi and his entourage will consist of prominent Obas (kings) with an expected visit of the States Governors and other dignitaries.His Imperial Majesty’s messages will be focused on facts about nature, culture and exclusive information on business opportunities in Nigeria in general.

The city of Ife, Osun State Nigeria is endowed with abundant natural resources, solid minerals, agriculture and a varieties of artistic expressions.Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi will be in Baltimore, Maryland, African Village, Sheldon, South Carolina, Mobile Alabama, Atlanta, Georgia, Arkansas and Chicago, Illinois.

His Imperial Majesty expressed desire to visit the Oyotunji due to the close proximity, and it is being suggested he visits the historic Penn Center on St. Helena Island, South Carolina, as well.

The history, diaspora ties, educational spiritual and humanitarian offerings of these two cities are essential to not only the Yoruba culture but are fitting momentous locations to enrich the visit of the entourage.During the event, Sango of Africa will perform live in Odunde Festival, Baltimore, Atlanta, Alabama, Arkansas and South Carolina.

His Imperial Majesty Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II) the Ooni of Ife on Thursday arrived the United States of America accompanied by his beautiful queen Olori Wuraola Ogunwusi (Yeyelua) and entourage of about 80 people including prominent Yoruba monarchs.

 

Ooni Ogunwusi is currently in the United States on a two week visit to attend the 2016 Annual Odunde Festival believed to be the largest gathering of the blacks, largely the African heritage, in America underway in the of city of Philadelphia, NUJ Europe authoritatively gathered.

 

According to Director of Media and Pubic Affairs to Ooni, Comrade Moses Olafare, Ooni will be hosted at the White House in Washington to receive the White House Ambassador of Peace Award on 22nd of June.
 Among the prominent monarchs with the Arole Oodua on the cultural tourism in US are Orangun of Ila HRM Oba Wahab Adedotun (Bibiire 1), HRM Timi of Ede, HRM Oba Munirudeen Adesola Laminisa 1, Ajero of Ijero Oba Adewole Joseph, Olubaka of Oka-Akoko Oba Yusuf Adeleye.
Also accompanying the Arole Oodua is HRM Obama Adedapo Aderemi the Alayemore of Ido-Osun, HRM Obama Olufon of Ifon Oba Al-Moroof Magbagbeola, HRM Oba Elerinmon of Erinmo Oba Ajayi Micheal, HRM Oba Onigbaye of Igbaye Oba Joseph Morontoye, HRM Oba Alaagba of Aagba Oba Ogunwole Joseph, Alara of Ara Oodaye, Adagba of Iyanfoworogi.  ''The Ooni of Ife was on Friday a guest at the United Nations Population Fund Building in New York, visit the African burial ground Manhattan NY where over 4 African slaves were buried alive in early 18th century, Ooni Ogunwusi will be honoured with the presentation of the key the historical city of Newark and be hosted to Colombia University town hall meeting at Lerner Hall, Broadway New York.'' Olafare stated.

Programs lined up to up mark the Arole Oodua's historic visit to the US include but not limited the grand reception at New Jersey on Saturday June 11th as being  put together by Ife Ooye in North America underway as at time of filling this report.

A visit of Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Art (MoCADA) New York on Monday June 13th, 

Symposium at Howard University, Washington DC on 15th June. 

By Thursday, the royal movement heads to Oduduwa Economic Development/Transformation Leadership Summit at Gaylord Hotels, Maryland on 16th of June.
Aarole Oodua and the entourage will pay a business visit to HERSEY Chocolate factory for bilateral talks with the American biggest Chocolate company view to perfecting the markets for the newly unveiled cocoa plantation in Ife kingdom.

The visit will be climaxed by the annual convention of Egbe Omo Yoruba in Dallas with a royal dinner organized by the Ajilesoros at Huston Texas on 25th June 2016.
