YorubaName.com Opens Event For Assemble Of Schorlars, Holds Yoruba Name On The Road Project In Ibadan And Lagos

Barely four month into its launch, the frontline high-tech multimedia dictionary of the names of Yoruba, YorubaName.com is holding its post-launch open public events in the cities of Ibadan and Lagos, in Nigeria.
The beta mode of Yoruba name.com has recorded over three-hundreds thousands (300,000+) of entries name and a large followership of supporters.
In an advertorial published by the Yorùbá Name, Kọ́lá Túbọ̀sún in collaboration with Laila Le Guen have urged the members of the public to seize the opportunities of the expanding knowledge-base documentaries of Yoruba family names and attending benefits of volunteering with Yorùbá Name.
"The team at Yoruba Name are very excited to share some fresh news with the general public: next month, we're taking the YorubaName project on the road in Nigeria, first in Ibadan (1st July, 2016) and then in Lagos (6th July, 2016).
According to the organisers, the two major events are going to be an assemble of scholars, academials as well as ensemble of of stakeholders in arts and language.
The general public are urged to join seize the opportunity to engage in the "incredibly energising conversations with scholars, students, journalists, artists and other community members."
"At the gracious invitation of IFRA Nigeria and the University of Ibadan, we are going to give a talk retracing the project's genesis and detailing its current state of advancement as well as expected future developments. We will then give participants a chance to directly contribute to our growing knowledge base through a workshop on documenting Yorùbá names."
