Challenge me on my asset declaration. -Dapo Lam-Adesina

"I'm still looking for anyone to challenge me on the asset declaration." - Dapo Lam-Adesina.
Honourable member elect for Ibadan South/Northeast federal constituency Mr Adedapo Lam Adesina has again publicly 're-affirmed his stance to ensure transparency and accountability in public office as he expressed that he would declare his assets prior to resuming and leaving his office in the 8th inaugural National Assembly.
Honourable member elect Lam-Adesina made this known on Wednesday during an interlocutory live radio interview, "Voices" on Splash FM in Ibadan.
Dapo-Lam as commonly known, emphasised that public office holders are meant to be accountable to the people and described the trust invested by people should be held sacred. Answering questions on how he chose to declare his asset publicly before elected on 28th March, Mr Dapo-Lam Adesina refuted insinuations directed to political gimmicks, and charged the public to challenge.

"I still maintain it, anyone can challenge me legally on the assets I declared. That cannot be politically motivated gimmick. Up till now, am yet to seeing a single person to come up and challenge. Even right now, you can challenge me" Dapo Lam-Adesina said.
Earlier, Dapo-Lam explicitly decried attempts to consider Nigerian public office holders especially legislators as being paid over-bloated jumbo pay at the expense of the Nigerian commoners.
The controversies about juicy remuneration of Nigerian public office has been in the media as some described it as avenue for making money.
Dapo-Lam stressed that if public can understand that cutting down the size of remuneration of public officials may be another factor to causing them to dip their hands in the public pulse.  He cited that his salary was about N400,O00 (four hundred thousand naira) during his tenure as Commissioners for two ministries in Oyo State in  which he used to pay people working as Assistants, Drivers as well from same income.
"We have to come to terms with the facts and reality about what we described as jumbo pay and when we the 8th inagural assembly get there by June, we can trash out the issue to the best of our ability". Dapo-Lam remarked.
He restated his committment to the good governance through reconstructive approach to the laws that will ensure betterment of his constituency and Nigeria. He said that amendment would be sought in some laws, and the constitution at large.
The Honourable member-elect thanked the people for the opportunity to serve them in the federal law making.
